Do you think your boss is terrible? Wait until you hear this story! Miles Walker of Walker Luxury Autoworks lost his temper and dropped off a former employee’s last paycheck in the worst way possible: a pile of pennies covered in oil. Now that the story has gone viral, though, it’s now Walker who’s paying the price…
Quitting Walker Luxury Autoworks
After a few months, Andreas Flaten simply could no longer work for Miles Walker of Walker Luxury Autoworks in Peachtree City, Georgia. As you’ll see, he’s the type that mistreats his employees and admits it.
“[Walker] continued to… make a normal workday hell, making unnecessary comments about my boyfriend’s daughter,” explained Flaten’s girlfriend, Olivia Oxley. Things became worse when Walker would not allow Flaten to leave to pick up his daughter from daycare. “My boyfriend respectfully delivered his uniforms washed and in a box complete with another letter as to why he was leaving early.” Eventually, the young man quit, but Walker never paid Flaten his final check. In fact, it took weeks and the former employee contacting Georgia’s Department of Labor for Walker to pay up.
Unfortunately, when Walker finally paid Flaten for his time at Walker Luxury Autoworks, he did so in the worst way possible…
Miles Walker Finally Pays Up – In Pennies
In the end, Miles Walker of Walker Luxury Autoworks finally gave Flaten the cash he worked hard for. Sadly, in losing his temper, Walker did so by dumping 91,500 pennies on Flaten’s driveway. To make matters even worse, the sad, angry boss covered the pennies in oil and attached a vulgar note reading “F*** you!”
“At first, we were super ticked because we were trying to leave the house to go get my boyfriend some medicine since he had a stomach bug all day and we had to shovel pennies out of the driveway before we could go anywhere,” Oxley said. “However, after the first shovel full, all we could do was laugh because this poor miserable man took so much time to be vindictive and cruel…We absolutely refused to let him ruin a single moment of ours.” In the end, the partners cleaned off the coins and turned them all in. While it was hard work, they even had some fun, as they were spending time with one another!
Of course, at first, Oxley and Flaten could not be 100% sure it was Walker. As the amount matched Flaten’s last paycheck perfectly, it seemed suspicious, but that was all. However, soon enough, Walker admitted as much not once, but twice! He likely thought it would earn him street cred. However, he was about to learn that was not the case…
“Be Kind”
After Oxley exposed Miles Walker of Walker Luxury Autoworks, the story of the oiled pennies soon went viral. When confronted by journalist Jamie Kennedy, he changed his stories many times before kicking Kenndey out of Walker Autoworks. At first, Walker said that he didn’t remember if he had dropped the pennies off or not, then admitted it, and then denied it once again. However, the next day, Walker confirmed it by putting “Yes we accept pennies as payment! They are cash you nitwits!” on the Walker Luxury Autoworks website.
Of course, after Walker admitted it, people slammed the website and Facebook of Walker Luxury Autoworks with bad reviews, writing that he is one of the worst bosses ever. We’ll let you be the judge at the end of the day. Meanwhile, Walker continues to find himself in hot water. As the days go on, more employees have emerged, claiming that he runs a terrible workplace. “Once it aired on the news and people started reaching out, I noticed, not only how many people he has done this to and that he needs to be stopped, but also how many people all over the place are treated so poorly by their employers and feel like there’s nothing they can do about it,” Oxley said.
“I hope this becomes some kind of example,” Oxley concluded. “Be kind to people. Your vengeance could come back at you so hard like it did this man.”
