Most celebrities and CEOs are buying real estate properties all around the world. But not Elon Musk! The founder of Paypal and Tesla has decided to sell all of his properties! And he’s starting with his most beautiful mansion…
Big Year
2020 might be horrible for the rest of us; however, it’s looking up for Elon Musk. Not only did he recently launch a manned Space X rocket to rousing success, but he also had a baby boy with his partner, pop singer Grimes. However, amidst all those updates you might have missed one of the most significant pieces of Musk news: he’s selling every piece of real estate property he has. That’s right!
“I am selling almost all physical possessions. Will own no house. Just one stipulation on sale: I own Gene Wilder’s old house. It cannot be torn down or lose any its soul. Don’t need the cash. Devoting myself to Mars and Earth. Possession just weigh you down,” Musk wrote in a series of three separate Twitter posts.
The First Mansion To Go
At first, most did not take Musk’s proposal seriously. After all, what celebrity wants to lose their mansion? However, as it turns out, the CEO is very serious! Just recently, Musk placed several of his Bel Air mansions on sale, the largest a massive mansion fit for the king. Believe it or not, he ended up letting the estate above go for a whopping $29 million, after listing it for $30 million. That’s still far more than the $18 million he picked it up for! As Wall Street Journal reports, the enormous real estate piece was sold to a tech billionaire William Ding.
Musk has plenty of other homes for sale, including a small Hollywood house that once belonged to actor Gene Wilder. A three $62.5 million home, as well as another estate in Hillsborough, listed for $35 million. However, another of the billionaire’s most beautiful homes is his ’90s Bel Air mansion…
Boasting In Popularity
Musk is currently his Bel-Air pad for $13 million, just a million more than he paid for it. It features a gated state-of-the-art security system to keep the 16, 251 sq. ft. property safe and sound. This huge house has seven big and beautiful bedrooms and 11 bathrooms in total. Out of the windows of the mansion, it’s possible to see Catalina Island and the Pacific Ocean when it’s clear outside.
“Built in 1990 and extensively remodeled with large entertaining spaces, high ceilings, and fine finishes. Large master suite with separate dual baths and closets, family wing, 2-story library, theater, 2-room guest suite, lighted championship tennis court, wine cellar, gym, pool, vast grassy yard, and fruit orchard,” the listing on the Zillow website says. There’s plenty of space to rest and entertain guests in, and a garage big enough for five cars. So, if you’ve got a spare couple of million lying around, why not pick it up?
